For Steff - Thanks for the link. I've been searching all over the forums for a long time how to make Catharpins. It's been 50 years since William Rex, which isn't that long. I found the part from Deadeyes very interesting and faithful, so I made it. I definitely won't be able to do it on other models.

Can you imagine climbing the ratlines on a stormy evening and then have to lean over backwards to negotiate the ladder futtock shrouds to get into the platform!
