Congratulations with this milestone, Keith. The fitting of all those hull parts looks very nice!A quick follow up from yesterday. Once the glue had cured, the port side hawse pieces were fitted, completing this part of the build and closing the shape of hull. I am very pleased with the result and admit to being quite happy to get this part out of the way. On to the next step that will be marking the positions for the thick stuff and deck clamps

Great to see you back at it.Hi All. This stage in the build is beginning of the insertion of the inner planks, thick stuff and deck clamps. Each are made up of 6 lengths, stretching from stem to stern and to get the correct positions of the pieces, the kit supplies plywood jigs marked with a corresponding rib number. These are each fitted over the keelson with the plank position marked along its length. A great idea from M.D. Quite a few more to go, so will keep you informed as I commence

What a super idea! Even if the hull is a tiny bit out of square these will make sure the deck clamps will be in the right place along the length of the hull which is super critical to having the deck and subsequently the gun ports at the right elevation. Thanks for sharing this, it can be useful with any POF build.to get the correct positions of the pieces, the kit supplies plywood jigs marked with a corresponding rib number.
