HMS ENTERPRISE by Keith 1:48 scale. New Kit from M.D.

Perfect Keith. Oh boy all kits should include those jigs. I had many interesting moments trying to get my beams right....and as I build I am noticing some tiny deviations (nothing which is visibly noticable) but having that jig is a must. Kudos with your Enterprise, so far it is superb. Cheers Grant
Thank you very much Grant and you are not wrong, this is a superb kit

I hope you don't mind if I do not reply to you individually, but a big THANK YOU to those that commented or left a like on my progress report. I really appreciate it and it is very encouraging to know that you are keeping an eye on my efforts Thumbs-Up

Keith,

Things are sure coming together nicely!!

Great kit and awesome work.

I think they might be called the Main Deck bow hook and Lower bow hook?

Moving on now to the first of the deck timbers. This is the fore platform or orlop deck. It is built directly over the plan provided. It has to be built upside down on the plan as the frame, cross beams and carlings are all different thicknesses, and this way ensures they all line up on the upper surface. I am now back to doing what I love

Looking very nice!

Lots of square and well executed joints.

Love that bevel along the outer edge.

Very well deisgned parts...they should nest against the hull nicely.

Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much Brad. You're right, this is a very well designed and manufactured kit. I have had a quick test fit and it fits very nicely onto the inner hull
