Thx Shota, you will see the result in Hamburg.

Enjoy your holiday in Sicily.
I am looking forward to the result. Carving is always a challenge for me.
Just keep on trying, it is just wood you can grap a new piece when failing.

Have a good time during your holiday, Maarten.
Regards, Peter
Thx Peter.

Have a great vacation, Maarten!
Thx Jim.

And the start is there. Just the beginning of nose, eyes and hat. Micro meter by micro meter.

Wow, fantastic work. How big is that 4-5mm head?
It is 4,9 mm, but still in the beginning. Many hours of carving to come.
Most difficult is to make a nearly identical one as this is one of a set of two.
The main mast and fore mast knight heads will be bigger 9,8 mm and 8,4 mm.

The first knight head is progressing.
At first he was looking a little like Hulk Hogan.

But after a serious diet he now is getting close to the finall result.

Well done, Maarten. He is wearing a nice ‘schippersmuts’ and a has a pronounced good looking beard.

Outstanding progress, Maarten!
Thx Paul, if I remember correct you still have a lot of carving ahead. (-:
This is your foreseeable future.

I applaud and bow to your work.
The carvings on your Fleuron look also great and that is much more than on my simple flute. The bow and applause is mine.

That aone is starting to look real good. Nice carving.
Thx Stefan, sorry no BN'er this time ROTF

Thx Peter,
I need some minor tweaking on the beard. As these all will be painted this is the look I want to create with the beard and face.
