great carving, I'm waiting to Hamburg, to see both of you
It is 4,9 mm, but still in the beginning. Many hours of carving to come.
Most difficult is to make a nearly identical one as this is one of a set of two.
The main mast and fore mast knight heads will be bigger 9,8 mm and 8,4 mm.

The first knight head is progressing.
At first he was looking a little like Hulk Hogan.
But after a serious diet he now is getting close to the finall result.
And the original on the ship directly compared to my attempt.

Haha, putting off my glasses and using a magnifying glass helps with the tiny details.
Finally under skillfull guidence of my wife the last carving has been painted with oil paint.
