USS Constitution 1:70 Scratch

I prepared the main topsail yard and secured it to the topmast. To keep the yard firmly in place, I inserted a pin at the center of the saddle; this pin fits into a hole in the mast and locks the yard in position. For the parrel, I used 2 mm beads. The main topsail yard tye & halliard consists of a double block attached to the yard, running through single blocks hanging on either side at the head of the top yard.

I wanted the topsail yard to be in the lowest position.

Hi,
Do you happen to have a picture of the aft brace bumpkins? I am not 100% sure where to install them.

I suspect you made your parrel saddles thicker than my plans Model Shipways) call for - 1/32" (.8 mm) for 4 of the upper yards. If not, what did you use for the eyebolts?
You're right Peter, I made the parrel saddles thicker than in the plan (about 2mm). Otherwise, they would have been too thin and I wouldn't have been able to attach the eyebolts. Besides, their thickness isn't noticeable when the yards are in place.

The main topmast preventer stay has now been rigged. I showed how I made the mouse on the stay in one of my earlier posts. The stay runs through a bullseye I had previously secured to the foremast, and from there it’s led down to the deck, where it’s fastened by means of a pair of bullseyes.

The mizzen topsail yard is now in place. Its rigging is similar to that of the fore and main topsail yards, but the halliard system consists only of two single blocks. According to the plan, the block attached to the top of the topmast should be on the starboard side.
