1/48 Deck cannon scene. Taking the Le Fleuron as the prototype, after some adjustments and details, the 2-layer deck gun will be produced soon, and the set will be made of pear wood, ebony, carved artillery, shoreline pulley, and high-quality rope wound.

I tried to take further info of the 4hmodel web-page, but failed - maybe somebody else has more luck to find our something more, maybe @Sam Chan , @YiFan or @ADC

With quality wood supplied it should be a fun kit to assemble...not sure about historical accuracy.
It was written, that the battle station is based on the 64-gun ship Le Fleuron (1729), so I guess somehow based on the monographie of our member Gerard Delacroix ( @G. DELACROIX ) available from ancre

https://ancre.fr/en/monograph/55-monographie-du-fleuron-vaisseau-de-64-canons-1729.html

With this as a base, it should be historically very accurate - we have to see, when more information are available - and I will check and compare the available photos with the planset from Gerard, which I have at home

Sorry do not quite understand, is this a X SECTION YOU ARE SPEAKING OF, is it a kit or scratch build, very interisting. Don
Hallo Don,
it will be a chinese laser cut kit in scale 1:48 - of the battle station with the two gun decks - I guess like shown on the first photo

Wow that is great love the idea any details when it wood be available. Don PS is it a ZHL kit, STILL WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE AMBITIEUX X section which Chinese Co. HAS IT, ALSO ON THE TABAO SITE DO YOU KNOW WHO BOUGHT FROM THEM SO I CAN FIND OUT HOW TO COMPLETE THE PURCHSE

I’m not sure I understand where the news about these new Chinese kits is coming from. Is it from Chinese websites (I mean sites that are Chinese language only)? If so, can they be realistically ordered and paid for from outside China with some degree of confidence in delivery and quality assurance? Assuming, of course, you can find some method of translation.

I was intrigued by the recent posting by Sam Chan about a 1/48 HMS Alert model, but the posting gave no indication if this was an actual kit, a kit in development, a planned kit or something else. There was also no indication of where the poster’s information came from. The poster did not respond to any of these questions. I’d like to know more about it, but I can’t tell if it is real or rumor.

Just wondering.

I just made a planset review of the mentioned monographie of the LE FLEURON, written by our member Gerard Delacroix and published by ancre:

https://shipsofscale.com/sosforums/...9-by-gerard-delacroix-and-jean-boudriot.2885/

BTW:
This is a photo of the complete scratch model built by Pierre Masson I made in Rochefort. Approximately the same mid-ship part like the kit model

and this is once more the photo of the battle station

So the kit model is looking really not bad..... in my opinion

Hello everyone, I am coming.
I am happy to see members interested in this model.
Indeed, it refers to the French ship Le Fleuron 1729, but the modification for the sake of beauty is different from the structure in history.
About the manufacturer of this deck model and 1/48 HMS Alert. They come from different companies, of course not ZHL. In China, there are more and more hobbyist who like to build sailing models.
Thanks to cheap development costs and production costs, Launch of model kits is very simple in China. However, model companies will first produce a small number of commodity testing market reactions. If the product is popular, the factory will mass produce it as an inventory. That is the official listing.
Lucky, these two model kits above were sold out in one day.
With the Chinese Spring Festival holidays, the re-listing will wait until about May. As far as I know, companies are actively engaged in EBAY business (of course, they will not sell pirated kits).
Finally, I enclose a Chinese auspicious phrase.
恭喜发财!

Many thanks for these additional inside-information
When I interpret your words correctly, we can expect, that both models will be in some time available - Good news

It’s always good news when new kits appear on the market, especially for subjects that haven’t already been overdone.
But, I wonder about new producers from China that we’re not familiar with. How can we judge the quality of the kits or whether the mgfc is willing to provide customer service such as replacement of missing/ damaged parts?
