I hope everyone is enjoying their summer vacations while also keeping up with our hobby.
Over the past two weeks, I prepared the deck beams for the upper stern deck.
To ensure the beams were sized correctly, I created a deck template out of thick cardstock, matching the proper curvature; this allowed me to accurately determine the required length during the heat-bending process.
I did this because the Monograph drawings do not specify the curvature or its impact on the beam length.
I would like to point out that the height on the left side does indeed appear mismatched compared to the right; this is because the beams are not glued, and the three front ones are slightly loose, rising upward by about a millimeter.
Otherwise, the process is quite similar to that of the previous decks, so I won't go into too much detail.

Hello dear friends,
Over the past two weeks, I have focused on preparing the stern windows—specifically the uppermost section and the side windows.

Afterward, I planked the interior of the stern around the window area in preparation for installing the interior furnishings.

A quick weekend update:
I built the captain's table, which will be placed in the stern.
The table was crafted primarily using a laser cutter and an MF70 mill, combining pearwood and boxwood.
I was so excited by the result that I wanted to share it before even making the benches—though their parts have already been laser-cut. Wishing everyone a pleasant rest of the weekend.

Wonderfully detailed Captains Table! I have to review you last few months of posts, as you were dropped from my watch list.

I will refresh my following, every time I view your log, in the hope I don't get dropped again and miss your wonderful posts and work!
 
What a beautiful table to compliment a very good looking model. I like the different sized cherry planks used for the table it makes the whole look natural!
