Hi to you all, reporting back in the shipyard

I actually returned early september but postponed posting until there was some progress to show.
The lower wales have been painted brown, the lowest clinker plank and the plank inserts on the foredeck, wulf and heck green. ‘Nails’ have been inserted on the outside of the hull both for the guns and the knees. Keel fittings also. The upper profiled wale was installed when the green paint on the lowest clinker plank was dried sufficiently. I used oil paint, so drying takes weeks (even months before covering the paint with Shellac, as I intend to do). That slows the work on the ship down, but one advantage, I learned visible brush strokes can be levelled after a day or two using a somewhat moistened brush.
That about sums It up for the last weeks.
