BALDER, Vlaardingen Herring Lugger from 1912, scratch build scale 1:50 Plate-On-Frame

It's gonna be a hack of a job to get the seems a proportional width. Other than that it clearly shows the beauty of things to come.
You are right, Johan. This was one of the tests. Last Thursday I was on the original Balder for extra pictures from a lot of details. I now also have more references for the planking. There will definitely be another test. And also another light-cove with other hinges …..

The previous version had some errors and the hinges were too thin. That's why a new version:

Auch, not quite sharp .......... the iPhone is sometimes a bit stubborn ...... With dominant black rivets again.

And provided with 'ochre-yellow' and metal-colored rings:
0448 Pink.jpg
That's 'size pink'.
If you want to show the details, you get the unforgivable macro shots.

On the model:

I've added the original. The ochre has discolored considerably due to the weather.

With a slightly different view of the hinges:

They now have a bit more body. The galley gets a smaller size spotlight. Maybe the hinges a bit thinner. Then I'll show you some steps during the making.

Of course, there also needs to be ventilation:"

Now I can go back to making the frames for the SB side.

PS a little hour later: I see that I placed the light cove backwards..... Sick

Then another one with some lighting......

Wonderful modeling!
Thanks, Paul. Miracles still happen ........ :)
I like the second version of hinges better... I didn't realize you have such big fingers... ;)
Thanks for your support, Jim. Showing it on one of the finger is in Dutch "een inkoppertje". You can wait for a moment for a reaction ...... ;)
Much better-looking hinges.
You also thanks for this support, Daniel. :)
Nice color) close to me))
Thanks, Sergey. That's the advantage of 'Ochre'. But the 'digital outcome' can be different. ;)
