1/200 Titanic hull painted

This is a very labour intensive job. I am presently cutting and “dry fitting” clear acrylic rod into all the portholes.

Once fitted they all need to be recessed into the hull to correct depth and glued.

I hope I am still sane when completed.

If you go with one or more of the available detail sets for your Trumpeter Titanic kit, if feels as if 80% of the time spent on the project is factory work. That’s probably not actually true, but it feels true.

I recently came across Naples Yellow acrylic paint, which is made by Winsor & Newton and you can airbrush it.

So far it’s the closest colour I have found for the funnels on the 1/200 trumpeter Titanic.

I have painted the name on the MiniBrass stern plate.

The masking is the time consuming part of the job, but quite pleased with how the name came out, I still have to do the name plates that go on the bow.
