Wow - Brilliant

WIP---
Hello everyone. Had a chance to download some progress pictures. I have attached the 8 cannons & their Breeching lines before I finalize the Anchor rope on the Capstan. I still need to do all the Block & Tackles for the 8 Cannons. Leaving the Capstan for a later completion gives a lot more room to work on the Cannon installation & rigging. One item not usually included on almost all model ships is adding smaller metal deck Eyelets that go under & just to the outside of the Pin Rails. Most ships i.e 1650-1900s use these eyelets to attach Block & Tackle that allows numerous assorted ropes to be attaches to the Pin rails (running rigging).
I also added the 3 Brass Hand Rail Stanchions that lead up the stairs to the deck house and the pull handle rope.
I will touch up all the Blacken metal parts at a later time.

Hi Rick,
Very nice build! I may have missed it so my apologies in advance, but from where did the page 109 that you show in post #489 come? This drawing makes me think it is in a book that I need to add to my library. :)
Many thanks
Allan
Hello Allan,
It comes from a book called----

The young sea officer's sheet anchor, or, A key to the leading of rigging, and to practical seamanship

I highly recommend this book because it has multiple drawings & information from actual sailors. A gold mine of information!!!!

Just bought this kit and notice a few differences, most important one to me being the fact that the keel matches all the drawings that come with it
Eagerly following your build and have plans to plank in the same way but using pear for the hull.
Keep up the good work.
