Good morning Lawrence. If you did not point the tiny deviation out I certainly would never have noticed. Your “shifting” the decor around worked a treat. Cheers GrantHello Ship Mates, The last couple of days the little fellows and Have been working on cleaning up the Starboard side decorations, we then painted them gold and went to install them. We were shocked to find that we had built the outsides bulkheads a little to short on the forward end. How ever after a little of shifting things around we were satisficed with the outcome, thus avowing a major rebuild. The three inspectors seamed to be rather pleased.
Regards Lawrence

Hello Grant, Thanks for your vote of confidence, I slept on my big Boo-Boo and truly as of now I am not happy with it. I believe that I will leave it for a day or so before making such a big decision. One side of me says leave it and the other side says rebuild it.Good morning Lawrence. Good morning Lawrence. That is what I enjoy about this hobby and each builders preference. I know with some of my blunders, which continuously frustrate me, I just have to redo even though others think it is looking fine. I think another aspect is how accurate our objective is when we start our ship. Somethings look so good, however they are not historically accurate and then our dilemma of redo begins. Hello Grant, I thank you very much for your understanding in this situation. Sure I could have left it as it was but did not look at all to bad at first. But the more we looked at it the more it irked me to correct it , knowing that it was not as it should be. So a rebuild was in order, it will set me back a few days but it just has to be.Good morning Lawrence. That is what I enjoy about this hobby and each builders preference. How did you fix the bulkhead, Lawrence? I don’t see evidence of the redo. Did you replank the entire area or just add a bit and paint over it? That probably wouldn’t work on the inside though, would it?Hello John, I than you very much for your visit to my build log on the HMY Fubbs and also for your many likes. Hello Vic, Thanks for your visit and also for your comments. I striped off the top two planks both inside and outside, replaced most of them and repainted. I am now in the process of cleaning up the hull decorations that will receive a coat of gold paint before I replace them. How did you fix the bulkhead, Lawrence? I don’t see evidence of the redo. Hello Paul, I thank you for your very kind words. Yes the redo was a must as I could never live with it as it was.I'm with Grant. I actually couldn't understand the reason for the redo - but it surely looks much better now!
Hi Lawrence. After comparing the photo with the one in post #282 the outcome is much better. The lines run much better.Hello Ship Mates, This AM the little fellows and I reinstalled all of the starboard side decorations that is except for the upper swirl and a little decoration that will be applied after the insides planks and the rails are reapplied.
