1682 HMY Fubbs 1:24 scale

Hello Ship Mates, My Admiral has finishes her sewing on the Mizzen Top Sail and the little fellows and I have installed it this afternoon, along with the Buntlines, and Cluelines. Our cleats have not arrived as yet so we are unable to terminate these lines as yet. So it looks like we will have to tidy up in the mean time.
Regards Lawrence

Good morning Lawrence. I like the “billowing “ effect. Did you starch the sail to create this? Cheers Grant

Very good work on teh sails - Bravo
In the past I had my doubts, if such a section will look good with mast and rigging - but -> yes it is looking very good
Hello Uwe, I thank you for your very kind words and overly nice comments. Yes I do agree with the sails looking great, my Admiral Bernadette did a fine job of sewing them up. Now I must tidy up all of these loose lines now that my cleats have arrived in great shape.
Regards Lawrence

Hello Ship Mates, The little fellows and I have installed all of the needed cleats. We have adjusted the sail and rigging lines and secured them with a drop of white glue. We have trimmed all of the excess lines off making our little ship a lot more ship shape. We have spent the day building rope coils to add to the cleats and installing them. We still have a few things to change that we have been thinking off. We also have started the final clean up but still have a way to go on that as yet.
Regards Lawrence

Hello Ship Mates, Today the little fellows and I removed the large single lantern from the ships transom and reinstalled a pair of smaller lanterns. Oh we liked the larger lantern but we wanted to install a flag and flag staff and there was no way we could do it with the larger lantern.

Very good looking aft section, now I'm just waiting for the rest of the ship to appear... ;)
Hello Johan, Thanks for your visit to my HMY Fubbs and also for your very fine sense of humor. Yes that is exactly what my Admiral Bernadette says, [ Where's the other half? ] The Fubbs has been a great very enjoyable build with some challenges and lots of detail that I love.
Regards Lawrence

Also if you have added only a view it is so great to see all the other Fubbs here
Every model differs from the other in some areas....
Hello Uwe, I do thank you very much for your overly nice comments. Yes Mike Shanks has put together a great and very interesting kit of the HMY Fubbs. and he has left it up to us the builders to add out own little touches making the HMY Fubbs kits all a little different, Thanks Mike.
Regards Lawrence

Bravo Lawrence Bravo.
Cheers Grant

Hello Ship Mates, While waiting for our red flag to arrive the little fellows and I have been cleaning up and painting the furniture for the HMY Fubbs Great Room. We have painted up the credenza that still needs to be glazed, painted the settee, the dining table along with the 4 armed chairs. We have also painted up the two end tables along with the three picture frames that still need some pictures, and last but not the least we have varnished the two name display plaques that Mike Shanks was so very generous to build for me.
Regards Lawrence
