American Scout C-2 Cargo Ship by Sterling Models

I practiced using epoxy and fiberglass on some scrap wood. I tried both the dry method where you lay the glass directly on the wood and the wet method where you wet the wood first with epoxy. It seems like the wet method works better for me. The wet is on the left. The dry left what appears to be bubbles image.jpg
 
Kurt @DARIVS ARCHITECTVS , did the post WW 2 vessels have search lights? If so, would they be located on the masts or on the superstructure?
I do not know for sure, but I suspect not. If lights were mounted, they were for utility, not rescue or combat operations, and would probably be mounted on the bridge wings and bow.
