A first coat of epoxy on the deck and a second on the port side.
Flat gray primer. I’ll use this for the top and to prime the sides. This is the first coat 
24 hours later, the primer is still a little tacky. What’s with that?
Just put the model outside in the sun for a bit. It will help the primer dry.
Ok, 100 degrees Fahrenheit isn’t hurting either.
I painted the bottom black. I had to sand the primer because the black was blistering. 
I’m still not able to reposition photos.
She looks smooth and well primed.
Thank you, Daniel. I still see rough spots up close. It’s amazing how much better you can see glitches when it’s not wood colored anymore and it’s all one color. I have sanded it three times since I first painted it.
Now it's starting to look really sleek.

True story. When you use white it really magnifies those glitches. Your hull is looking good Vic. Cheers Grant
Close enough. How did you do that? I have to do it at a weird angle to get it in even halfway decent.

On the bottom of any post that includes a photo there is an “attachment editor.”
Frustrating!
I then sanded the primer down to where it was bare in spots and got rid of the problem areas. I don’t think I’m a fan of this primer.
