From a conversation with a French modelist who is also building the Amerigo Vespucci, and looking at pictures from the ship, I realize that the bulwarks should be painted ochre and not gold as described in the documentation.
Below picture of the real ship
So I decided to scrap the gold paint and replace it. Quite a tedious job but worthwhile I believe.
Pictures below
I now need to do the same on the port side.

Significant progress on the Americo Vespucci as you can see on the pictures below.
I need to add the second row of windows on the port side and add them on the starboard side.

The windows on the starboard side are now installed.
The hull is now completed, and I am now going to get started on the deck fittings.
I'll do this as soon as I am back from hip surgery planned for early next week

I am now back home, recovering from my hip surgery that took place last Monday. I was wondering if I should post a picture of the post-surgery Xray in the "purchased shortly ago" section
First thing I did was to change the way the bolts are showing on the ochre color plates, just under the decks.
This is the way it looks based on the Panart instructions.
As you can see, this is not super accurate and I decided to insert small nails in each of the holes, to simulate the bolts.
This is now the way it looks (need a second coat of ochre paint)
After that, I worked on the stern doors and fittings.
