I started to build the Armed Virginia Sloop in 2007, here are the pictures of the build, bulkheads installed, false deck glued in and planking has been started.

In 2011 I stopped working on the ship again, up until February 2015 and working on since, so I finished the first planking with a good sanding and started working on the scuppers, somehow I missed them, then I drilled the sweep ports.

I was curious I always see people planing with full ship strips has anyone tried doing it with scale length plans etc like the real ship?

Next I started painting using one coat of primer and 6-8 thin coats of diluted paint and using Tamiya masking tape.
