Man-O-Man-O-Man .......... why ratlines with 2 eyes .......
If you have to prick the thread with the syringe needle 4 times per line when making the 2 eyes, how big is the chance that you will damage one of the strands at some point .......... HUGH.
Even with a very precisely prepared needle that only has a sharp point and no sharp edges.
I have the 2x15 ratlines installed, but certainly the same number went into the trash ....... plenty of full swear jars ......

For the longest bottom 6, I was able to secure the ratline to the middle shroud with a clove hitch.
Above that, the ratlines became so short that this was no longer feasible. There I secured the middle one with an X-knot to the shroud. But that difference is hardly visible at normal viewing distance.
The square insert:
After making the 1st eye, and after measuring the distance between the outside of the outer 2 shrouds, I made the 2nd eye on millimeter paper. This is the ratline which is 9 mm long, measured externally on the shrouds. By then securing it to the inside of the shrouds, some length remains and both parts sag slightly.
The round insert:
That is the smallest ratline: 4.6 mm.
I have also prepared the starboard shrouds, in anticipation of cutting that shrouds when both parts of the hull are to be taken apart:

The top spreader bar is double-layered. Once I have removed the mast again, I will cut the shrouds between both spreader bars on a hard surface.
On the inside, I have glued a row of 4 small Neodymium magnets onto each spreader bar. These have strong adhesive force.
My theory is that when both parts are joined, the row of small magnets has enough force to hold both parts together. Fingers crossed for practice ......
I also have an idea for a support in the form of a rod to hold the starboard rigging upright when both parts are separated.
Regards, Peter

. Seriously tho Peter if I could have a small percentage of your skills I would happily inject myself with the “Peter virus”.
