Cross beam assembly completed, and mast bases installed, then clear coat added to all of the frames and beams, prior to beginning the deck beam installation.
Bow deck installation begins by framing the perimeter and adding some planks, waterway boards are then added on top. I chose to do individual planks verses using the supplied deck sheets. I purchased some ramin boards to use for the deck.
Upper stern deck perimeter and planks added, then waterway boards installed. And then the frames were cut at the specified location per the instructions and the jig was finally removed! Now that she is free of the jig, I can complete the deck planking!
Deck planking completed!
I decided to leave a cutaway opening in the stern and bow decks, on the open frame side of the hull. This allows viewing of the deck beams, and also the internal beams and frames, as well as allowing light to enter the lower section for better viewing from the open starboard side.
