First of all, congratulations to CAF on launching Granado kit, which is a very successful kit and has a lot to learn from. Recently, many friends asked me about the development level of Granado kit and when to launch it. Now let's explain it here. Granado kit is the second kit designed by us. We are trying new ways from design and development to production and processing. Our designers try to restore Granado's structure more deeply, so the development speed is relatively slow. At present, it is expected to complete the design in May. Some photos will be released from time to time before completing the design. I hope you can make more corrections. Another news is that we plan to try to assemble a new kit in March this year, not Granado. Interested friends can pay attention. Another thing to note is that whether Granado or other kit, we will use CNC for processing and will not change. Thank you for your support and attention to the Trident model. Sto aspettando che mi venga consegnato il kit ALERT, non ho ancora iniziato la costruzione che ho già la voglia di iniziare con questo nuovo progetto

I am waiting for the ALERT kit to be delivered to me, I have not yet started the construction that I already want to start with this new project
 
So Trident is going to release a POF Granado kit right after CAF released a POF kit of the same ship? Smart marketing strategy? There are also already POB Granado models by both Caldercraft and Amati. Are there so few subjects for new models? How about a few more versions of Victory and Constitution? Not enough of those around.

Trident started developing this kit long time ago

You are a demanding consumer, ;) There is nothing to do with a strategy, IMHO. Developing a new kit is a very long process, it does require a lot of time and money. The decision of what ship to make as the kit mostly comes from the availability of the plans\drafts and other research material. Also, a major role in the decision plays in acquiring the license in order to make the production of the kit (free\versus pay). Despite CAF and Trident, both making Granado as a POF kit, there are major conceptual differences in the manufacturing and design process: Trident frames are CNC while CAF's are laser cut. Also, Tom (CAF) designed the kits as a split hull...

In my opinion, nothing wrong with another Granado or Victory, As long as there are kit manufacturers and their consumers who can choose whose kit they will purchase next. However, if you don't want to build Granado or Victory, you can build Belle Poule from Sail and Sail, or Blandford from Dockyard coming up this month. Also, Trident working on another kit, so stay tuned for updates, and Dockyard working on Le Cygne should be released this spring.

Great post! The way I see it, the more choices and offerings, the better we have it.

Looking good and interesting insight of the structure.
Only one important comment:
The riders on which the bomb-cell is based (your light blue elements) are not part of the frames! In moment the part is floor timber and rider together.
So usually you have the frame, "on top" are the inner planking with thick staff planks, on top of the planking you have the additional riders, which are the basis for the cell,,,,,

Maybe you should in your development also keep in mind that one mortar was smaller than the other one.... would be interesting to have different mortars on the model
