I really liked your work. And the main thing is the style of the photo. I am often too lazy to set up the light, take the camera, put the background... more often I take a picture on my phone and ok. Although I am a good photographer, but I am so lazy))))

I have a small photobox in a corner of my room and just use my iPhone to take the pictures, then a little postprocessing with ACDSee uploading to my gallery site and done

If the real cannons looked cracked like the model, I would be afraid to fire them thinking the metal will crack apart with any next firing.

One of the last small missing details - The kevel cleats sitting on the sheer rail is done

Next and last will be finishing the guns. The cross section will miss the keel rabbet though, I thought I could it done later but I have no idea how to do it without risk of damage.

They were primed with vallejo primer and then touched with a pencil to give it a slightly metallic appearance.

The carriages are a bit to low but that is fine for me, I need to call this project done :-D

I guess we all agree the mortar of the kit looks like major crap ... yes, you may feel free to agree with me, secretly one or the other has certainly thought that

So again Daniel @dafi performed a few miracles and "rebuilt" and printed the correct mortar for me. What a difference and what an upgrade to the model, right? So if you need a set of guns for this kit try to ask him

Mortar looks great. Mine also came with a resin printed mortar, but I may still just clean up the white metal one and use that Model certainly is a bit of a 'puzzle', but very satisfying to work on.

This is just fantastic work. The precision of your construction reveals some of the kit's shortcomings - but what a brilliant result Dirk!

I'm working on a recent purchase of the kit, and consistency of wood colour is good. There are no really light pieces. Also, the kerf seems not too bad.
