Build Log: Endurance - Occre - by Bill Hime
Got a little more done today. Started planking the bulwarks. Will add stanchions tomorrow, and a few extra details!
Very nice work here Bill! Decking and sidewall planking look very tidy!
More progress.. Inner bulwarks almost done. Going into 3, 12 hour shifts, so not too much more headway until Sunday.

Hello everyone! Hope this post finds you well. Finally back in the shipyard, Tuesday and Wednesday seem to be my best opportunity to commit time to my builds. Picked up some brass and polystyrene - going to upgrade some of the kit supplied parts. It's also time to get flicker LEDs placed before planking can begin!
Finished up the inner bulwarks tonight. Mapping out light schematic tomorrow. Then a little painting/weathering!
Your bulwarks look great.

Funny you should ask Dean, I'm actually modeling it as to my assertion as to what she would have looked upon reaching the ice pack after four months at sea. So yes it will be weathered, but not looking abandon, lol. I may darken the decks up a bit but mostly using washes/dry-brushing effects.Looks great Bill! Are you adding stain? Hey Tony! First off, a very humble thank you for your comments. I approach everything with an open mind - there's always more to learn. Painting/finishing requires patience. Weathering a beautifully finished model requires a thoughtful touch - layering, removing, layering some more, etc.. At the end of the day, it's just wood. Anything can be fixed once you temper the frustration of not liking what you see.
It's a matter of practice and learning from others.
