Build Log: Santisima Trinidad (Occre 1:90 Scale Kit)

In real ships would not there be nails on all planks where they cross frames, not just at but joints?

I have seen where but joints have 4 nails and butts, and other planks in line, have just two nails per plank all the way across the width of deck.

Yes I did consider this. Decisions decisions. I thought it might look too busy at this scale.

Reconsidering, it might look okay. But it will be a wee bit tricky now to add them to the lower deck even though a lot of the planking will be hidden by the life boats.

Looking great, one day I might be able to take on a big ship like this one and I like the look of the Santisima Trinidad so following your build with interest.

Day 15 Part 3 (6th August 2021)

Used this strip to line up the first strake.

And some work at the stern.

During the evenings I sat watching TV with my wife cleaning the flash of the canons.
