Charles Morgan Bark 1:64 POB - By Bill-R

Hello everyone,

I've gotten the catheads built. I have sat them in place with the anchor deck. There is still some finish work to do on the catheads. I will wait to glue them and the anchor deck into place until I finish other work around the bow and stain the deck.

Bill

Not to be a nag, but don't glue that anchor deck in place until you've rigged the lower attachments of the mainstay securely through both the anchor deck and the main deck. You will have a very hard time doing it after the anchor deck is permanently in place and the mainstay has to be well secured because it will take a major part of the collective strain from the collective rigging running fore and aft. Check your plans carefully. I believe the mainstay parts run fair through both the anchor deck and the main deck and are secured to the stem inboard.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for looking in and for the likes.

Bob: Your not nagging at all. I appreciate the information. I saw the concern for the mainstay installation. I'm not planning on gluing in the anchor deck until I get everything that needs to be in place installed.

Bill
