Thanks Henk is was a pleasure to attend the meeting.
I learned a lot.
Have to finish my old model first but hope to start with the Blue Nose soon.
Hallo @Smit
we wish you all the BEST and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Birthday-Cake

A while ago, August 30th to be precise, a meeting occurred between Peter, Henk and myself. While we previously met under the guise of the Dutch Bluenose Build Society we now have to change colors; Peter is heavily involved with his unique "Balder" build, Henk is more than committed to his 1:200 Titanic, which is a monumental undertaking (while his Bluenose is still in the Drydocks, awaiting completion) and I am busy with the preparation and initial build phases of the unique Kolibrie helicopter.

Although two Bluenose models are marked complete, we still enjoy meeting one another, if not for the coffees and lunch, it's for the exchange of the progress on our builds, questions, tips and tricks and whatever topic we feel the need to talk about.
Some pictures of August's come together:

Today after a break we organised another meeting, this time in Amersfoort
After not having seen each other live for a while, it was useful to meet again, after completing my current Bluenose

On the table the Balder of Peter, which is a special model to see live, made with great craftsmanship, with a precision that in my opinion cannot be surpassed by anyone
The excellent photos of the Peter has been seen many times, I saw it as a privilege to see the Balder live again at my home

Also the progress of Johan with his NHI Kolibri N-3, scale 1:48, an excellently beautifully made model, where I particularly admire the quality of his scratch build, nicely executed in red, good choice of materials and nicely finished with his airbrush

In addition my progress on the Cutter Trial from Vanguard Models, 1:64, now in the rigging phase

After completing my Bluenose I still feel like making a wooden model, after reading good reviews I decided to go for this kit builder, which I am very enthusiastic about.

In addition, many mutual tips were exchanged and traditionally concluded with a pleasant lunch.

Attached are a few impression photos.
Regards,
Henk

These photos are fantastic! Henk, you lucky man — what a gorgeous piece to hold and admire. Really happy for you both!
Thank you for your hospitality, Henk. It was a real pleasure again, especially to be able to see all the progress live again.
Great to see the Kolibri with its natural hanging rotor blades and the rotor head painted.
And it was good to see that you got the energy to start this build of Cutter 'Trial' van Vanguard Models. And the completion of the rigging of your Bluenose, now standing proud in a nice showcase.
Regards, Peter

Thank you for your response Jim,

I mentioned your name during the meeting today

I said that someone like you would appreciate this so much if I would post pictures (nothing too much said):)
We’re an international forum, and the photos our members share, while they meet and greet, are truly unique. They’re a big part of what gives this community its special character.

Thanks again, Henk, for your hospitality.
It was certainly a pleasure to meet one another once more.
Also it was quite impressive to see Henk's build of his Vanguard Trial Cutter, with a high quality finish and Peter's Balder model, which doesn't need any more accolades... My Kolibrie doesn't impress me much, anymore... ;)
A noteworthy aspect: the three of us share a passion, duh, and none of us is shying away from sharing information or tips and trics.
Quality time, definitely. Thumbsup
