Hope you are progressing well with your rigging. You definitely need to be in the right frame of mind.this will be an asset for me as I am rigging the same model/kit.

It is definitely a challenging build but very rewarding but does test your patience at times. As long as you are not in a rush you will get many hours of enjoymentThe way that ship turned out inspires me to build the Endeavour…..thanks for all the great pics
Thanks Donnie … from you that is high praise indeedbeautiful / outstanding - in all regards.
Hi, I just found that cutter on e-bay or Amazon. I used it for cutting deck planks and the 2nd layer of hull planking, typically 1/2mm. While it will cut thicker timber (2mm) I typically cut that with a small saw. The cutter is adjustable for different angles. However when using to cut thins strips, I found that it was easy for the thin plank to to slide between the horizontal bed and the vertical part. As such I had to tape another piece of wood to block the gap, not ideal but it worked, and also allowed me to attach another block to ensure consistent lengths of cut. I have since bought an Amati cutter which is much more accurate but again lightweight and only really squabble for thin planks. Hope that helps.Keith,
I am looking for the cutter tool you showed very early in your log (post # 2). The devices currently available do not seem to offer the opportunity to use the hobby-knife type blades.
Thank you. Welcome on board, a new member by the looks of your joined date. Will be interested to see some pictures of your build. The challenge with the masts and particularly the rigging is to plan the order of the build. It is someone like a game of chess to ensure you do not prevent yourself from accessing areas because other lines/threads etc. get in the way. For example I had to break the bilge pumps off so I could rig around the main mast. It was a very minor issue but definitely worth considering working from the middle outwards. Good luck with the rest of your build.Beautiful work, very impressive!
I'm currently building the same ship and have finished the main build and am starting on the masts. I'm afraid my craftsmanship doesn't compare to yours but it's not too bad. Thanks for the recommendation of some tools, I love the small thread sniper and the needle threader!
