FALKONET LEUDO VINACCERI 1:48

@Dematosdg It's not even a ship - it's a boat probably about 9 metres long. That is the worst part. The scale is great at 1:20; the materials are first class, construction is simple Plank on Bulkhead ... and yet ... NEMESIS has defeated me every time. A little patience, Daniel ... :)

HI HEINRICH, RIGHT NOW I AM PRACTEING WITH THE SOLDERING IRON WITH THE TIPS FROM HANS DIFFERENT GLUE TYPE THE MATERIAL IS MAHGONY A LITTLE LESS THE 3/64 INCH, IT TAKE FAIRLY LONG TIME TO GET IT TO STICK, I HAVE SCORCHED THE PLANKS A LITTLE BUT THIS IS WHY PRACTICE, IT SEEMS LIKE THE WELL BOND WORKS BETTER THEN THE NORMAL ELMERS WHITE, NEXT TRY WITH LINECO, BOTHE THE WELL BOND AND LINECO ARE QUICK SETTING QUICKER THEN THE ELMERS, ANY SUGESTIONS TO HELP WITH THIS, I WILL USE SOME COLD WATER ON THE NEXT PRACTICE ONE. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR ADMIRAL STAY SAFE DON

Hi Don. You have to wet the planks first. It's not necessary to soak them, just run some tap water over them and make sure the whole plank is properly wet. There are two reasons why this is very important. First, the water acts as an accelerator to the PVA glue, secondly the wet plank transfers the heat from the soldering iron much better and faster. Also make sure that you iron is properly heated (at least 15 minutes plugged in) before you start.

HI HEINRICH, ONE QUESTION, DOES THE DECK PLANKING GO FIRST BEFORE THE WATERWAYS OR DO THE WATERWAYS GO FIRST, HAS ANNA GOTTEN HER OWN KIT YET, I WILL BE STARTING A LOG ON SOS AS WELL AS CONTIUING ON MSB. GOD BLESS STAY SAFE YOU AND ANNA DON

@donfarr Hello Don. Yes, the waterways go on first. Then the deck planking. Please check your email during the course of the day. You will receive your PayPal Bill for the Bluenose today!

(Anna needs to translate Bluenose's instructions - no time for anything else now ROTF
