Was quite confused, not receiving updates on your Xebec. Shouldn't have worried; progress has been made regardless. Your attention for detail does wonders, it's adding authenticity to the model.

How's the rigging of your cannons going?
Good morning Grant. Besides there is something wrong with the alerts on the SoS, still find your log and have to reed some pages. But that doesn’t bore me at all. Nice little (3D) ad-on’s and nicely rigged cannons.

Good morning. Very little time spent in the shipyard lately. Birthdays all in a row Arlene, Ashtyn and Justin. Was good to spend family time all together.
The oars. I made these as per the kit. (I am out of extra wood ). I don’t believe these accurately reflect oars on the Xebecs in the mid 1700’s although I don’t have too much research materials to confirm this. I Also found the metal parts (handle and supports) to be a little too large for the scale. I added some rope bindings to the supports and added an additional handle to the end. Stained with oak stain. One set completed.

Good morning Mark, Heinrich and Jan. Thank you. The upper deck came out so cool. I did the lower deck the same and for some reason it doesn’t match the upper one. It maybe because I had to bend a lot of the deck planks and with the two different heights a lot of manipulation was put onto the main deck. I quite like how the oar colour came out, almost a little weathered.

The oars do seem a little large. I’m going to make a figure to scale and see how they look. I’m not redoing them though. Cheers Grant

Good morning. This morning I completed the stairs for the quarter deck. My modifications:
- added the railings.
- Made the stairs a lot thinner and less bulky than the kit stairs. Of course I broke the SB stairs while doing this
. Typical Grant, especially as I have no more resources for redo’s now.
