Good evening Heinrich. Thanks. It’s funny how when you change a tiny aspect of the kit the knock on runs through to every other part of the build. Fun though. The stairs look wonderful, Grant. If you had not mentioned that the SB set of stairs was broken, no one would have noticed that. I am particularly impressed by how true to scale the stairs look.
Good evening Ron. Thanks. When I first used the lime I was disappointed. With some Matt poly it transformed. Cheers GrantGreat pictures Grant. The workmanship is stunning. As others have said I love the coloring of your decks
Good thinking Sasha. Unfortunately to get the top of each stair to fit snug by the stanchion I had to cut a small notch. I wish I had thought of this before I cut these.Grant, hi.

Good evening Johan. True story .It's money, Grant, does not outweigh a few great days...
Sasha has those..Good point - and good eyes![]()
Thank you Shota. The stairs and the whole deck look wonderful, Grant
Hi Grant. What a beautiful build, perfect and very well photographed, a really inspiring piece of work. KenGood morning. This morning I completed the stairs for the quarter deck. My modifications:
- added the railings.
- Made the stairs a lot thinner and less bulky than the kit stairs. Of course I broke the SB stairs while doing this. Typical Grant, especially as I have no more resources for redo’s now.

Good morning Sasha. That will neaten it up a tad as well. I will nervously had a go. If I mess this up it’s all overGrant, hi.
I don't see any problem. First, we cut off the upper part of the stairs along the line so that the sidewall is at the level of the floor of the bridge, your cutouts that you made (circled around) will probably be cut off. And thenyou put the ladders in a new way, as expected and swap themView attachment 388754
Thank you KenHi Grant. What a beautiful build, perfect and very well photographed, a really inspiring piece of work. Ken
Good morning Peter. Sasha has given me some food for thought now as well. It will neaten up the top of the stairs as well although I am hesitant as I have no more redo ability here….I started doing them as you did but when I positioned them like the instructions I liked it a lot. Thanks. Cheers GrantHi Grant, I think the idea of Alexander is great, switching the stairs and nobody will notice.
I changed the directions of the stairs but I think Occre did a better designing job and I like your setup better! Great update!
Good morning Mark. Thanks. I will have to toss someone down for the repairLoving the colours of your deck Grant, and the railings look very swanky. As for the broken ladder, the first sailor to fall down them can have the job of fixing it![]()
That is looking very nice, Grant. With lovely details.Good morning. This morning was placing some more printed decorations. I’m still not getting my 3D printing 100% perfect but good for Grants Xebec. What design I am going to put on the 3 lower parts (on the black part between the vertical decorations) I have no idea.

It has been so much fun creating my own version of the Xebec. Apologies to the history buffs out there…..nah not really
.

With such calm water you can paddle all te way to Robben Island. Nice pictures.Topic of Grant Xebec : Cape Town has had some hectic days with a Taxi strike. Violence and intimidation been rather hectic. I have 1000 staff which we have had to get to various sites around Cape Town some 24/7, and my team have been amazing. We have had 3 vehicle stoned and 4 of my staff where beaten up- SA is beautiful but has an ugly side to it.
I took my ops team and admin for a kayak as we have had some beautiful weather just to thank them for their incredible work and dedication over this time : some pics :

Ahhh! I only see the Cape Town Stadium. While in CT for the Argus and when no-one was looking I jumped over the pitch barrier and kissed the Hallowed ground upon which the final of the 2010 FIFA World Cup was played. It was like kissing the feet of the greatest religion on earth. BTW Grant nice photos, very envious and great build on the model.Topic of Grant Xebec : Cape Town has had some hectic days with a Taxi strike. Violence and intimidation been rather hectic.
