Grants Xebec 1:60 (using Jabeque Cazador Occre1:60 kit) [COMPLETED BUILD]

How are you going to construct the rudder of the boat Grant? Following the Occre guidelines?
Good afternoon Peter. I am. I built the hull based on the Occre frames and I am stuck with it . It is unlikely any long boat or other ships boat would have it this way, however I don’t think it will detract from the overall look of this little/big boat. Cheers Grant

"The Occre donor" has nothing to do with this beautiful ship. A completely different ship and story. I hope that one day there will be such sets available for purchase... but then you won't have anything to do !, maybe it's still better to remake this "donor"? Congratulations, amazing.

Just more cannon
That is a lot of guns ... which will be the cannon to break the hull's back? ROTF. Agree with Johan, that's a lot of firepower in a compact space and it must have been mayhem when the gunners got going. Looks awesome though Grant, your rigging is superb and I can't tell one cannon from the other you have replicated them so well Thumbsup

I am in synch with the above phrases, a truly fantastic work! Love whatever job one takes up (because if you love your work, you will not only do it well, you will enjoy it)!!

Occre should use a few of the photos of your work in their marketing materials. Thumbsup ;)
True!

simply stunning sight and what you do with a lot of creativity and minimum resources! Great work Grant!

That top view with all canons installed makes one wonder how on earth the crew was able to handle the canons for a broadside. It must have been awfully hectic, noisy, very crowded and an organized chaos...
Still, beautiful modeling.
Good morning Johan. Thank you, I agree the Cazador design is incredibly cramped. I doubt that in real life this would have been possible to effectively operate the cannons. One also has to consider that oars are also used in between each cannon. Looking at the Le Requin monograph there is considerably more room between each canon.
Simply beautiful Grant. I am a fan of your work.
This post just reminds me what a superior modeller you truly are. This is fantastic work Grant! You play your work down but the results speak volumes for your skill and artistry.

In different episodes the canon-job is done. It looks nice and impressive, Grant.
Regards, Peter

Simply beautiful! Ship-1

Good morning Guys. Thank you so much. Encouragement, comments, likes etc are so invaluable to my motivation to just do better. These are appreciated. Cheers Grant

Good morning Mark. I think from the 3rd canon onwards this process became a little bit of a mission. My canons are pretty close to each other however no cannon is identical. No canon broke the hulls back unfortunately ROTF however they nearly broke my mental state of mind.....whew they are nearly done. Cheers Grant
