As I had an hour or so free of plastic I took the opportunity to finish the work on the Hull mainly painting the dazzle stripes and the false bow and stern.

I built this model myself a few years ago....what I caught my eyes in the two pictures above is that the waterline is much to deep, sorry to say that

That's OK as with a model this size I can only work outside and I wasn't taking to much notice of the dimensions and only going by eye but I will probably buy the full amati kit sometime soon.

More pe added to the bridge section and a mock up of all the bigger parts in place to make sure it all fits.

Never thought about how a false bow and stern could help, but I guess to a sub looking thru a periscope at a distance it could fool you based on what you think your looking at for judging distance to target.

I have decided to start a fresh as this build is not going how I planned its mainly due to a badly constructed skeleton(not by me) so with the parts I recently purchased I am now constructing a new and hopefully better here's the progress so far

I have finished the skeleton and started working on the planking.
This build is going to be a mix of old and new as the original skeletal structure was built by some one else and wasn't quite up to the job.
And some sanding at the stern

And after three days of planking the first layer is finished just needs sanding.
