These photos of the framing begin to give me some ideas of how to frame an ancient Phoenecian trading boat for which I have only been able to find side elevation views an a singular midships cross section. Being a rounded hull and with strongly curved bottom, very much a "tub" it has my mind distracted from my Bluenose model. Your dredge is a good side tack to our typically seen vessels. Thanks, Rich (PT-2)

OK ALL MORE PROGESS ON THE BEAMS, THIS IS THE BOW BEAMS, ALSO NOTE ONE IS OUT OF ALIGNMENT AND THEM=N THE DO OVER, SAME IS HAPPENING ON THE STERN BEAMS, AND THIS IS JUST THE BEGINING OF THE DECK BEAMS IT IS STILL DRY FITTED AT THIS POINT. GOD BLESS ALL STAY SAFE DON

Don before any "redo" you need to know and understand WHY the deck beams are not aligning. That means going back and retracing the steps that have brought you here.

Hi Don!

I would first put all the deck-beams in the deck-clamps and see if the are parallel and at the same hight. With a wooden strip you can well check the continous deck height, whether all deck-beams at the wooden strip concerns. The distances between the deck-beams are predefined (marked as "x" in the drawing below).

SANY1332.JPG
Then place the binding-strake on the deck-beams and move it slightly forward or backward. The distances of the cutouts for the deck-beams should be exactly the same as on the deck-clamps (x). I would correct minor inconsistencies on the binding-strake. If the binding-strake fits on the deck-beams it can be mounted under the deck-beams later.

Your results look very good and you will get everything to fit - for sure.

Hi Don

I am glad that you think you have solved the issue. However - I don't know if it is just the photograph, but something still does not look right here where I have marked with the two yellow arrows.
