HIGH HOPES, WILD MEN AND THE DEVIL’S JAW - Willem Barentsz Kolderstok 1:50

Bravo Heinrich, a lot of confusing "Facts", a lot of miss direction and a lot of assumptions from various sources. You've done an incredible job gathering all that material, translating where needed and summing it up in narratives for us to enjoy and marvel at. Thank you very much for giving us this look into history.

Thank you very much for the words of support, my friend. Yep, it was a long haul, but I'm happy with what I know now. Sharing this with all of you was my pleasure and honor!

Nice research, well done!
Reading through your work you made it very plausible that the ship could have been named Mercurius. But there are still many uncertainties, so the real name remains unknown and the name of Mercurius cannot be proven.
Unless of course the Russian researchers come up with an explanation why they are so sure about the name (but my guess is they don’t have the proof either).

Maybe I can do something with this information as an addition in the kit :-)

Thank you, Hans. You were often my soundboard throughout this almost one-year long "research ordeal", so I am happy to hear that you regard my hypothesis as plausible. If you can use any of the information I have posted in whatever shape, size or format, please feel free to do so with the greatest pleasure.

I enjoyed your research very much and all facts and assumptions combined I surely must agree with you that is is highly plausible the ship was the Mercurius. Thank you for the insight in your research and the journey towards your conclusion.
Thank you so much for the kind words, Herman. I am very glad that you find my rationale plausible and logical. Now the focus will be on my finishing of the WB.

Dear Friends

I promised that as soon as I finish my research, I will post some pictures of Vladislav Zhdan's Mercurius. These are by no means his official pictures or even pictures of the finished model - just some photographs he took while the build was in progress.

Great photo's Heinrich,
That is one very realistic model, with the right background you would be hard pressed to tell if it is a model or not.

Cheers,
Stephen.

Bye the way Heinrich, that are beautifull pictures of the Zhdan Mercurius, thank you for sharing them with us
My friend I have a very nice birthday gift for you and for all our friends here on the WB build log. I am just waiting for one of our friends to do an exact translation for me and then I will post it.
