HIGH HOPES, WILD MEN AND THE DEVIL’S JAW - Willem Barentsz Kolderstok 1:50

Good morning, Dear Friends. Well, it has been a long time since I have last posted. The school year is done and dusted, and on Monday afternoon, I will be flying out from Shanghai to Singapore and then via Johannesburg to Cape Town. This marks the first time I will be leaving China in more than 6 years. In two hours' time, I am going for a final rowing session with my new partner and then it is back to packing.

Chat soon to you guys!
Hello Heinrich my friend , hope you have a wonderful time in SA , safe travels ! Rob

It has been too long since we heard from you, but understandably so.
Enjoy your stay back home in South Africa. I truly hope you'll find some quality R&R time in Cape Town.
Safe travels!

Dear Friends. A very big thank you to all who have shared their blessings and well-wishes on my trip to SA. You guys are simply the best and I am very proud to be a member of this incredible SOS community. Yesterday was a day of mixed feelings for me as I said goodbye to my regular rowing partner (she has accepted a position at a school in Guangzhou) and welcomed my new partner.

Petra (in the boat closest to the camera) has been my regular rowing partner for the last 9 months, whilst Serena (in the tandem with me) and I have partnered up for the future. We have been on the pace from the word go, so all is good.

Everything has been packed and Anna and I will leave for Pudong airport in Shanghai in about five hours' time, where another goodbye awaits me. Oh boy ...

On the flipside again, I am looking forward to seeing my mother, son and my new daughter-in-law and, of course, meet up with @GrantTyler Grant. I can't wait to see his Victory and Xebec in person and have a cup of Nescafe with him! ROTF

So, is this just a vacation, or is it something more permanent? And say, "Hallo!" to Grant for me.

Nice to hear from you again Heinrich. Safe travels and enjoy your time in the Cape, there is so much to enjoy there. And yes, do keep an eye on Grant and make sure he doesn't get out of line :)

Hello Dear Friends

Just a quick shot from Melkbosstrand in South Africa to show my (and, of course, @GrantTyler Grant's) location. Tonight, we will meet up for supper and I am really looking forward to that. This is also my first post on SOS under the South African flag.

Alive and kicking!
Enjoy your vacation and especially your meeting with Grant.
PS And for goodness’ sake, stay away from the N…..é!

Checks lank kif Heinrich, great photo, made me nostalgic all over again. I hope you and Grant have a good catch-up, try not to talk about model ships too much and please have one (or six) on me. Wish I was there, have fun :)
