Jack my friend - you know how I feel about this ship - and you have done a brilliant job. Your build has again confirmed that this is probably the only British ship that I would still like to try my hand at some time. Congratulations on a superb build!

I have been watching and rejoicing in your build and fantastic log particularly the interaction with your Dutch friends so I thought I would chip in with my, slight and tenuous, connection with Holland. I was born and now again live in Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland, the little ‘avatar’ I use is a picture of my great grandfather, Carrick castle in the background, sitting on the quay where in July 1690 William of Orange landed on his way to the Boyne and the defeat of his father in- law James the second confirming his ascension to the English throne. Here is a painting of him being delivered to said quay by the English navy, commanded by Admiral Cloudesley Shovel(blue on the mizzen).

Perhaps the Royal yacht Mary (Centre, Royal standard,) will be a suitable next build.

I like the fact that you haven't coppered it and the hull planking is visible. Museum models show the planking. I think we, as scale builders, are making a mistake and hiding the attractiveness of a build well done. Coppering has become commonplace with kit suppliers and now seems accepted as the 'norm' particularly by new builders. A good decision on your part, bravo sir! It's a thing of beauty.

Sorry for the late reply Jack, only just seen your post.
Pickle wasn't built on the same lines as Speedy/Flirt. They bear more resemblance to the revenue cutter Diligence. They were apparently designed as larger versions of our cutters. There is, or was, a plan of Pickle from Bermuda. The story goes it was in the possession of a 'clergyman'? in Devon who loaned it to a 'Mr X', never got it back and it was never seen again. The only clue to her appearance is from the contemporary painting I posted (and definitely not to the Mr Frickers version! Although Frickers did use the original painting as a reference but it lost something in the portrayal!!! Mr Frickers will assert that his version is oustandingly accurate!! (Mr Frickers and I disagreed over this. I didn't press the point as it would lead to severe criticism of some of his works and the discussion was leading towards this point)
The Robert Dodd painting was requested by Lapenotierre, the master of Pickle, who judged her depiction as satisfactory , so that is the only real guide to her appearance (Geoff Hunt also used this as a reference)
Caldercraft based her on "original plans" but didn't mention it was an original plan of a random schooner made in Bermuda! (naughty!) Their version certainly doesn't look like she was 'the fastest ship in the navy'!
So in terms of drawing a plan 'something along the lines' I think will suffice. That's the sort of project I like. If I do get around to it (there's a queue) it will be a scratch.
