HMS Agamemnon by Caldercraft

I've started with deck planking. Something that still leaves me with a lot of doubt. Honestly, I don't know what the right method is. I've looked at a lot of photos and done research, and one person says this, another says that... So, what's the deal?

Ultimately decided to align the strips with the curvature of the Hull...
To achieve the curvature, I tapered the strips from 4mm to about 3mm.
Gluing them together was quite a challenge, but I finally succeeded using CA glue. After all, you have to bend the strips to achieve the hull's curvature.
The disadvantage of this technique is that you cannot apply the Four-step butt planking (well, I can't) because otherwise I wouldn't be able to get the curvature neatly (eg to bent the several pieces)....

Next step: installing the wall (officer cabins).
Here I had a small problem: because I had completely covered the deck with strips, the structure was too high. Ie the Poopdeck could not be placed Flush.
The solution: carefully cut two grooves so the sides could be glued directly to the main deck.

No, I don't like it, it looks very bad. To simulate a net, it is better to use tulle curtains or an insect net.
The white mesh is better to paint beige, I paint the ropes with water-based wood stain.

First of all, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2026!
Because of the holidays, I didn't have much time to continue working. But I'd still like to see a next update.

I added the ship's wheel. I also made and added a compass housing...in 1/65 scale, of course.
Now I've started wiring the guns...

Time flies, especially during the recent holidays. Every now and then I found some time... ;)

I added the poop deck.
Almost completed the rigging of the 9 lb guns.
Added the Mizzen mast bitt assembly (I decimated it from the Caldercraft plans, as mentioned by Iutar). As drawn on the original Ardent Class Ship plans...
See photos,,
