HMS Enterprise 1:160 scale Boxwood - Unicorn Models

Hehe,

Current problem is lack of material, even for prototyping. I'll try the prototype today, but have very little material.
Overall dim is 8.4mm x 3.5mm, but that may change. Wheels are about 1.3mm with 0.5mm axles.View attachment 554999

Material is 1mm for everything at present, but all of this may change.

I am not confident at this point that it is going to be as easy.
Ahoy Richard and god morning, Coffee

Wow, that's really extremely tiny... I don't know if I'll do it, as I have to draw and cut everything out by hand, even though my fingers are itching to get started. But that would be a lot of really tiny pieces...

Morning Günther

I did manage to make one piece by hand but it was so-so and took a very long time, that's when I seriously started to think laser or CNC.
Hi Richard,

It's really difficult to work on such a small scale. I noticed that with the dinghies. Everything can break so easily. I think laser is really the best option... Thumbsup I'm going to try building a gun carriage on a scale of 1:160. Let's see how it turns out. By the way, I scaled Allan's cannon to 1/160 scale and compared it to the gun mount from the kit. What I noticed is that the gun mount isn't that bad. But the height isn't right. That's why I'm thinking of using the gun mounts and filling them up. I still have some maple strips with a thickness of 1 mm × 0.6 mm... Let's see what comes of it. But first I have to catch up with you on the hull construction... Then I'll take care of the gun carriages...

Hey Richard,

That looks really good! Better than the previous mountings. Respect for all that hard work! I'm thrilled... :D Thumbsup
