that looks really beautiful! Really great! I can understand you. The scale is a challenge!!! I'm impressed. I'm in the process of cutting out the gun ports. May I ask how high and wide your gun ports are?
The gunports are 5.8mm wide by 4.7 high. The width is determined y the frame spacing and the height by the pre-marked notches.

Truly excellent work Richard
There's a point that no-one has mentioned yet about this kit and it's nice to have.... there are spare parts on the fret for a lot of those tiny things like knees, steps etc. that are liable to go 'poing' when cutting out of the fret and end up eaten by the carpet monster! I've had to use most of mine

Yes, The supply of spares is well thought out. Some pieces, like those for the pumps, are easy enough to reporduce but others are far more challenging. It's a well thought out kit.
Drift rails and volute attached. Quite a challange to clean up and process, but should look fine when they have dried and given a final clean up....................

One more pic now that the top timbers are the correct height. I realise that the top timbers are to thick, and I'm seriously considering removing interior material to get them closer to scale, at least from the foreground to the volutes.

Blimey, you've made great progress with the HMS Enterprise. It looks absolutely delightful. I hope you don't make the mistake of making the frames thinner and then breaking them... Really beautiful work!! That's my goal, and I hope my model will look at least a little bit like yours!! Great work!

You also seem to be doing very well. Your ability to recover from the frame mix-up at the beginning is excellent and you current progress should give you confidence.
I've looked at the later stages of the instructions, and you are right to suggest apprehension about thinning the top timbers. in this case, the walkway and rails will make any thinning largely unnoticable, so I'm going to pass in it. The main error would be that the window head/sill will be thicker than scale.

I think that's a good decision! Sometimes you just want too much!! I'm glad you like my progress. Unfortunately, my construction mistake really cost me a lot of time!!
She's looking more like a ship now with various bits done the last few days. Gangways, rails, some metalwork.
I wasn't happy with the steps, which have ended up offset, but decided to make up for it by making my own molded ones rather than the simple polygons provided. I'm still mulling over how to better connect the volute to the drift rail.
Started on a pump and will complete next time I mix up some epoxy..........

Really lovely. I'm going to build the stairs exactly like you did! They look authentic and beautiful. Great work. And how tiny the pump is, it's crazy. Now everyone can see how small this building is. The finger shows it...
Yes the pumps are fiddly, but worth time.
Most deck fittings finished.
Major parts to complete are pumps, capstans, booms?, a couple more ladders, knight heads, cannons and finally the boats. However, I may do the boats before the cannons...................................
