The heat tiles/bricks for the stove. I used the picture below as a reference.

I scratch build this and had to use walnut instead of cherry wood for the frame as the kit is really stingy with the wood supplied. It is not glued in yet.

I was going to stain the tiles a clay colour however they jump out at you too much.

Good afternoon. I did some work on the main cabin. Again I have pretty much scratch built this. I saw this pic (I think it is one of Victory’s cabins) and thought I could do something similar.

I will panel all the sides of the main cabin as well. This kit was designed to be painted and I am doing natural wood and the natural maple just looks horrible for the main cabin. Some walnut veneer and panels will look worthy……I think.

You will notice I broke all 4 stern timbers again. Progress continues….,,,

Hello Paul. Thank you. Unfortunately my hands are rather brutal with little finesse unlike the skill full hands of an Orthopaedic Surgeon.. I truly do try and not destroy my timbers but to no avail. Cheers Grant
