Hello Herman. Yep a small coastal town in the Western Cape South Africa is name after you. A very beautiful place. We are waiting for the wind to die down so we can do some wake boarding. Blowing gales this week. Thank you for the compliment. I like the friese so far. Cheers Grant

Hey, Grant the Friese looks great! The Friese I had on my HMS Fly was photo etched brass but yours looks professionally hand painted. I'm curious, how is it made?

Good morning Gentlemen. I’m relaxing in the town of Hermanus with family and some friends. Pretty cool.

I wasn’t going to post these pics as I have so much fettling to do on the ports - need to square them off and trim some poorly measured planks - ahh nothin wrong with a little WIP.

I add the Friese supplied by the kit - first time for me and it is a lot more fiddly than I expected.
Planked some of the bow also WIP.

That friese is looking nice Grant.
I have great memories on Hermanus. Gliding the mountain ridge behind it to Fernkloof with a great view over the ocean.
