HMS Enterprize 1774 1:96 von Modelship Dockyard

It is my understanding that models from kit maker Vanguard mention this as an option for model builder in the instructions. Sadly, Syren is the only kit manufacturer of which I am aware that addresses important design characteristic in some detail.
Hello,

Here is an example of how this kit points out the taper on the bow.
Please read the instructions first, they can be read as a PDF for everyone

The taper looks good fore and aft but it appears to cover things aft of the knee of the head. It really is confusing as drawn. You wrote "read the instructions first." Can you post those instructions? If you like I can post additional sketches that will help to understand better.

Hello and let's move on,

There's not much that can be done now.

13. Now I grind the laser carbon on the outside, this frame is already in the middle. This means I don't have to do a lot of angular sanding. There are lasered guide lines towards the bow and stern where you have to sand.
You can see how easy and quick sanding is in the short video.

14. Cut and grind the contact surfaces flush again.

15. Now briefly clean/sand.

16. Adjust the frame in the slipway. No problem, it fits straight away.
See video

Now that was a frame. Admiralty/frame model building is fun and really not very complicated. You just have to work very concentratedly.

... go on.
There isn't much to see or show. A few more frames were added. I removed the laser carbon from the inside of the fuselage and it looks much nicer.IMG_1321.JPG

I tried to take pictures of the outside of the hull through the slipway.

Then there are some pictures of the different cannons.

Have a nice Sunday, greetings

hello Mario,

unfortunately there were no more postings about your Enterprize since June. Are you still working on it and do you have new pictures?
I am thinking about ordering the same kit and would like to know how satisfied you are with the kit and the firm.

Franz

Hello everyone,

Today I'm honoring Uwe's wish. He asked me to show step by step how I assemble the frames.
1. I mark the position of the spacers on the template.

2. Find parts on the B-frame, remove them and label them.

3. After all parts of the two frames have been removed, use the templates to check whether they are really the right parts and, for the first time, whether they fit well.

4. Clean the adhesive surfaces from the laser carbon and check for accuracy on both sides.

5. Using the plan, check exactly which sides the parts have to be flush and where the edge has to be.

6. Now glue and check again and again with the plan and the template, if everything fits, fix it with the clamps.

7. There is always a little more rework here (for technical reasons), but it takes less than 2 minutes.

8. Let everything dry overnight.

Here's a quick picture to show how few tools I needed to get here.

The next steps will be coming soon.

greeting
Mario

I just found your build after seeing that you had stopped by mine.
I think this post is and will be a great reference for any new builders looking to create a POF build. VERY well done. Concise and to the point.

After seeing this post, it made me interested in perhaps tackling a POF build some day. Now I have a year or two before mine will be done, but who knows!!!!

Great job!
Chris

Hello Chris,
Thank you for the praise.Yes, who knows exactly what will happen. I have made up my mind not to buy anything else until my Enterprise is on the home stretch.
Due to my wedding in the fall and the planning of the celebration for next year, I unfortunately haven't had much time to build.
I'll give a little update anyway.
The interior isn't attached yet.
Best wishes and a happy new year to everyone
