I used the original thin plate of the kit, but I cut the width.
For example, a thin plate with a width of 8 mm was used as a plate with a maximum width of 6 mm by cutting the upper part by 2 mm.

I had a little cherry board, so I cut it out to 6mm x 2.5mm and used it for the red arrow.

I also use a tree that has been cut out to 1.2mm x 6mm.

I was also think about this, to make the thick stuff also "thick", like it was prepared in the section model of the HMS Granado.
But I decided to use the kit planking - the additional work will be the adjustments making the recesses in the riders of the mortar beds.

The keel is difficult to adjust because there is a gap between the parts.
When parts 1A-1, 1A-2 and 2A-12 were pasted together, it became too thick and 1A-1 was almost scraped.

Sorry for my late response. Many thanks for the kind birthday greeting.

Production has slowed down recently.
I drilled a hole with a 0.5mm drill and glued a toothpick.
Scrape off the tip of the toothpick to make it thinner.

I know it very well from my build of the Granado - the treenailing of the inner planking is a never ending work
and at the end, after installation of all interior decks , walls and mortar-bed etc. you can see maybe 20% of them......
but these details are making the difference.....
