0,8 mm in scale 1:48 are in 1:1 around 3,8 cmHi Allan. If on my model, then 0.8 mm. On a real ship, about 1.5-2 cm
Hi Allan. This will be shown in the next updateHi Anatoly
Having premade the boxes for the gunports how will you modify them to account for the trapezoidal shape so they follow the sheer of the deck fore and aft, and the tumblehome vertically? Sketch below is what I am referring to.

Hi Archi, probably just nomenclature. The upper and lower sills or lintels were parallel to the deck as was the lower lining (stop), but there was only the lower port lining no upper lining (stop) as well as the linings/stops on the frames on the sides of the port. The upper and lower jambs of the gun ports (port linings) were installed parallel to the deck!
Clever and clear work with the gunport, Anatolii.Greetings. The process was shown on the example of one gun port.

The ports are nice in line with all the curves of the hull, Anatolii. I suppose that with all the connections between the frames they give the hull extra strength.Greetings. With the "helper" finished the ports of the lower deck.

Thank you. Yes, the ports will add rigidity to the case. The ports are nice in line with all the curves of the hull, Anatolii. I suppose that with all the connections between the frames they give the hull extra strength.
