Long time ago I built the section model of the HMS Triton, a 28 gun sixth rate frigate from 1771.
I was asked to show this built here in a log. Due to the fact, that it is already 10 years ago, when I made this crossection I will mainly show the old photos with a reduced text.

First of all I want to show the final result, so you can imagine what you could expect

BTW:
The section model is shown also in my Avatar

Now the start of the modelling.....first of all I want to show the jig, in which the frames can be installed.

In my log of the La Salamandre i showed already a lot of frames, so here only the photo of the frames prepared

The keel in cross section, visible is also the false keel and the rabbet for the later planking

The limber strakes are installed left and right of the keelson. on top of this later on the limber boards will lay on

and on a heigher level the so called Inside Bilge stringers or "thick stuff"

you can see the used nailing.......

The ceiling of the Main Hold is mostly finished, and the recesses / pockets for the Hold Pillars are prepared (made with a small chissel)
Remark: The nailing looks because of the flash very dominant, in reality it looked way better....

The rectangular Hold Pillars

Installed in place (dry fit and waiting for the Lower Deck Beams)

The installation of the deck beams, the notches for the installation of the carlings were already prepared before

Lodging knees and hanging knees are also attached at this stage

Once more many thanks for your comments and the likes I received for this log.

With the following photos you can see the deck planking of the gun deck as wall the inner wall planking

Only half of the deck was planked, so it is possible to see the structure with the beams etc.

Here a view of the other side without deckplanking

Next was the work on the gun deck with installation of the pillars, this time with round cross section / form and the deck beams,
the curve of the second beam is similar with the first one, it is only looking different on the photo because of the perspective.
