This is a really nice workshop ...... here it will make fun to build the model.
I will follow your building log with big interest and I hope that you will post regular your progress

Hey thanks all
All was sweet with double checking everything but then she has tried to bite me.
As you can see all nice so far except no.16 bulwark is 3 mmm higher than no. 17.
It does not look like it is supposed to be ( input would be greatly appreciated) I'll have another look tomorrow and see how the planking would lay or maybe I can sand it down,I hope the crew off my occre Diana ship are not into funny buisness

Hi guys
Just a top up on the build I had some leftover deck planks from the amati adventure so I planked the lower deck for where the ladders go down and oh boy is there a lot of sanding to be done. I've also started the front bulkheads doors and decorations
Cheers for now snowy 20190906_153601.jpg20190906_095015.jpg20190906_094951.jpg

Greetings Snowy, Not sure if you paint 'black' specifically for 'fairing process', but this is actually really helps to see the amount of material you are removing while 'fair' the bulkheads. Also you can control the adjacent bulkheads alignments. :)

G'day Snowy, looking good and those brass etchings look really nice as well, I want to get back to my sailing ships but got to do a bit more to the Imara tug first, you enjoy,

best regards John,

PS nice bush views as well,

Hi again
Just when I thought I could have a clear run I have to go bush again for approximately 2 weeks.
So in the meantime I 'll Show you what I have been up to .
I finished the front bulkhead and with it I found a nice curve piece where the 1mm by 1mm goes .I like it .
I'm still putting in pieces for the shape of the hull .
I think I might put more fill in pieces on the bow to bulkhead 4
Thanks to all and I'll be back in 2 weeks cheers snowy 20190913_175059.jpg20190913_174953.jpg20190913_174953.jpg20190913_174947.jpg

Ok hi all I'm back in town .
Since I last logged in about 3 weeks agoand finished a job I have bevelled the edges of the frames and added fill ins at the front and back.
I read in my book it takes about 3 hours I reckon it took me 3 days +.
I have also fitted the upper deck and made a couple of capstans while waiting for glue to dry .
I also just put on the first plank for the inner wall ( this could take a while )and figured I might just put one of these on per day so they all set properly .
Well that's her for now catch you all soon

Hi all
Its been a while but I noticed with this ship you can't just study the plans I have to cross reference them a 100 different ways ( all good)
So A little update .I've finished off the deck planking .I also finished part 33 the bow deck and planked it.
Then came the fun part of putting on the gun port patterns on ,so good so far after I had the top deck in place. They were a hassle even after soaking in hot water for an hour.
Finally I'm just painting the 2 downstairs main mast bits using this stain .
Catch you all soon and enjoy your modelling
Cheers snowy
