HMS Victory Build #776 1:98 scale

Grant, thanks for your comment. I appreciate it. Here’s the info you requested.
The case is 48 inches wide 34 inches tall and 18 inches deep and that’s the outside of the wood frame. The wood is 1 in.² poplar painted and what looks like glass is really clear acrylic 1/8 inch thick. If I was to do another one, I would take the front panel when you look at it and make that a reflection proof so it doesn’t get the reflection from the sun or windows on the face of it that was my only regret . It’ll be too much work to take it apart. the frame has been routed to accept it, the base is eood abd I bought stick on vinyl from a company in China and had it mailed to me. It took about a month and a half to get to me, but it was worth it. I was really happy with it. I thought I bought it on Temu , not sure. I’ll do some digging and see if I can post in another message to you where I bought it and how much I caught it was pretty cheap not very expensive at all what you gotta do though with this frame it’s only 1 in.² and it’s very easy for it to shift and move. I pinned the corners at a 45° with a dollar and every corner And the actual top off of the base so it’s in two pieces. The base with a ship is stay put in the top section comes off if you know what I mean anyway keep on going. Keep on working. Takes a lot of time energy and effort, but I’m really happy with what I done. Thanks for your comments again .
Thanks for all that! Big case! I did one for my last ship that was quite a bit smaller and put a mirror as the back glass so when it is against the wall you can still see all sides. Glass or acrylic here is not cheap so the case may be as much as the ship cost. Thanks for the dimensions! Now I just need to find a place that big to set it!

Good morning. Thanks for posting this. I have to make 2 cases - a massive one for my Victory and one for my Xebec. Motivation and ideas are lacking…..they getting dusty which is not a good thing. You have given me some ideas so perhaps it is time to make these :D . Cheers Grant
