Probably such book with complete Victory rigging sketches would be published one day. But it’s unlikely. I don’t feel that amount of people interested in this subject is increasing.

I really appreciate your opinion, Allan. You have so deep scientific knowledge of ships of that period.Makes sense to me![]()
Hei Y.TThanks Green Highlander. I only describe my personal experience with the book. Book is good, no doubt. Especially when there is no better description of hms Victory existing. Issue is the rigging of bowsprit, jib boom and flying jib boom is EXTREMELY complex. It is very hard to explain it with words. It would be much simpler to understand if one hand sketch was drawn instead of a thousand words.
Hi, Green Highlander. Thank you so much for the link. I, however, think those drawings are basic. After constantly reading four books (actually 5) on rigging of Victory and other contemporary ships of sail, I think I am much more advanced with understanding of rigging. I do not just stretch a line on my model because some kit manufacturer tells me so. I go through my reading material to understand what is the meaning and a purpose of each rope or line. Thanks again for trying to take care of my lamentations about scarcity of good information for rigging of ships of that time.I'll send you the link and there you have a lot of drawings and explanation about rigging.
