HMS Victory by Y.T.- Mamoli - 1:90 scale

If you're ok with the wheel dials, great, but for me and my eyesight, I found the DRO (Digital Read Out) an incredible option. Have fun with them.
Yes. I am OK with hand wheels. They are resettable to zero by the way. For type of work I do for wood ship modelling it is more than enough. But I was able to make even something more. I made a mini steady rest with intension to use it for masts, which I probably will never use.

See attached.

Did you make the band around the dead eye or did this come already made?
I may have just answered my question about the deadeyes in looking back at your very first post. This is the same model I built and am using it and the plans to complete the cross-section model I am currently working on. I don't like the ones supplied with the Corel kit so I'm looking for aftermarket ones (Cornwall Models and Dry Dock are both out of stock) or scratch building them.

Another question: did you make these hooks or buy them as aftermarket pieces? If you bought them, can you tell me what vendor you purchased them from? I need 12. Thanks
Whether you need just hooks or rigging blocks or you may need other aftermarket parts for your ship modeling, you can check out DryDoc Parts

I always make them.

The fore and main stays before applying to the model. Took some real struggle before I managed to make them.

These are very nice. I am working on a way to simulate these four stays for my cross-section, I first tried wrapping 1mm cord around a "Gorilla Glue" coated #18 gauge wire after making an eye splice in the end of the cord. This did not hold up although it could have worked. I am going to try this again but using a different material instead of the #18 wire. I will also forgo the eye splice as it is not worth the frustration. Good luck when you start to snake these stays after you install them.
