Yeh - the dust is not nice - dust masks must be worn.What is ebony dust like? I imagine it’s very fine very toxic?
The other issue is that it’s quite a oily wood so it will stick to your cutting blades and leave residue, it will clog your sanding surfaces quickly and worst of all - it spreads into other woods quite easily and “stains” them.
But when used - it does look awesome, you can replace it with Swiss pear stained with black dye and not know the difference ( but then you have to worry about the dye going places that you don’t want ).
